The Harbour

The Kassiopi harbour area still retains its charm and character despite tourism and the effects that modern living standards demand.

Nowdays the new motorised boats stand alongside the more traditional man powered fishing boats.

The bars and tavernas are complimented by the beautiful mountain backdrop.

You could even try fishing and tell the folks back home about the one that got away.

But be prepared you may be called upon to tie up one of the visiting boats.

In the evening the harbour is bustling, if you've just over indulged in the nearby taverna and need a rest why not take a seat on one of the waterside benches and watch the world go by?

By night the harbour shows itself in a whole different light with all kinds of bars from the very lively to the more sedate and laid back kind.
