Bataria Beach
Start from the square of Kassiopi and head towards the harbour and oÂnce there bear to the left and follow the road that will start to climb fairly quickly and eventually turn into a track. From the top of the track you will be greeted with marvellous views of Albania that's no more than a few nautical miles away. |
|
 |
Below you will be the crystal clear Ionian Sea.
Follow the natural course of the track and head for the small peninsular where you will find three beaches, the first beach you come across is Bataria beach, Pipitos beach is oÂn the opposite side of the peninsular and oÂn the end is Kanoni beach.
Bataria beach has fairly easy access for all and also has gradually shelving safe shallow water.

Pipitos Beach
Pipitos Beach is the most inaccessible of the three beaches due to some rock climbing being involved, having said this the inconvenience is well worth it.

Kanoni Beach
Follow the small track from Bataria Beach to the end of the peninsular and you will come across Kanoni Beach. This beach is made up mostly of flat rocks with a limited amount of sand.

Kalamionas Beach
If you were to by-pass the peninsular and keep to the main track after about 10 minutes you should be at Kalamionas, the main tourist beach in Kassiopi that can boast an EC Blue Flag.

On the approach to the harbour if you were to bear right and follow the road naturally which will in turn change to a footpath you will find some more beaches.
Although mainly small and certainly secluded these can be accessed if you’re prepared to be adventurous, this side of Kassiopi is best explored by boat.
There are even more beaches to be found, maybe oÂnly the locals know where? |
